Michael Lau x MINDstyle Kuala Lumpur Exhibition

Following up a successful exhibition in Los Angeles, Michael Lau brings his renowned vinyl creations to Kuala Lumpur for a special exhibition set up in conjunction with toymakers MINDstyle. The show will not only highlight Lau’s work but also feature a series of paintings by various other high profile artists including pop master Ron English. An official opening is slated December 11th with a Michael Lau autograph session set in place as well as limited edition releases being available throughout the day. For those in town be sure to stop by as the show will only remain in tact through December 19th, 2009.

December Issues : Robots × Forest × Monsters

*Sigh*... Time passes so fast, mankind also so fast getting older and older. My 18 years old will ended soon.

This poster is the last one for year 2009...*Sob*. That's why I shorten the "DECEMBER" to "DEC". It means human's lifespan is too short nowadays because of too many pollutions and i draw the "DEC" at the backward layers means December 09 will ended soon and it's time to welcoming a brand new year-2010. As time passes, every living things in this planet will getting old and the only thing that won't getting older & older and die are the Robots. If the Robots combined with the Trees and become a "Forest of Robots", will the ecosystem will be balanced? and will the trees not died? The answer is NO! A mere "Forest of Robots" won't be enough to scare the greedy mankind, so i added some fearsome Monsters in order to protect and maintain the ecosystem. What I can say is every little bit counts, you have to observe it carefully and if you have any question about my artwork, just feel free to ask me.

Oh ya, i almost forgot to tell you where did I get all the inspiration in the Robots creation. hmm... by doing some research.
-from left below, that is Mummy-type Robot. it is surrounded with tentacles of thorn.
-Beside the Mummy-type Robot, it is the Poisonous spore emitter Robot. It will emit poisonous spore.
-From above the Mummy-type Robot, it is the Robot-controlling obsidian statue. With its millions of tentacle, it will take over the system of a Robot. As it controlling Robots, it needed some energy and the energy came from the Solar system-sunflowers on top of the statue.
-From right below, that is Barbarian-type Robot. Its strength is more powerful than you thought it will let you harm the trees!?
-The rest is Rafflesia × Smooker, Tree × Pitcher plant, Bomb Spider & Unidentified creatures...

Oh ya, I like the Bonsai creature with venomous snake the most.

Can't win the auction say us using hack or there is leaking information? WTF!

I remember last time when I read an article that entitled "Envy is dogs' natural instinct"...
So funny lar this guy, can't win the auction say we hack or something that is serious than that : "the inside information is leaked out..." and on the top of it, why did he mention my name?
*Sigh* it seems like I'm now involved in this case...
Did he ever know i wasted how much to learn the tactics and did he knows how many times i bid-for-nothing-in-the-end?

There are some reason why he can't win :
1. he was scared to take the risk.
2. he want to use as little credit as he can to get the item.
3. he is poor in thinking.
4. his internet line suck and always got "server error".
5. he is too greedy. Or...
6. he is not creative enough... haha

Life is not like smooth sailing boat... you have to take the risks in order to achieve something good... most important thing is experience and knowledge...

Yuu~ Hu~~ last Tuesday i went to Maxis headquarter to collect my prize. After class finished at 11.30am, i do some sketching in library and wait til 1pm only start moving to KLCC.... because 12pm~2pm is their lunch time... Whoa! i was so excited.
After arrived at the building [ just beside Coach ] i straight go reception center to take visitor card and go in...OMG! the security system was so strict... and the building have 8 big lifts and 20+ levels... wah... so high class...

Aiks... just only got Hellboy II 18" figure damn big and highly detailed [ limited to 500 pieces world-wide ][HERE] and swatch artist's collection watch... hmm... the watch got street art feeling...

according to the person in charge, my Halo Wars Risk not yet shipped to there, so she will call me once they are shipped to there... AND most surprisingly, yesterday i won a pair of adidas shoe of my choice... used around rm19+

now i feel that every month i have to win something good. if no, my life will be very boring... hahaha

2012 + family gathering

haiz... this is the first time i go cinema alone... nobody with me this time....sigh~
last sat, i went to pavilion, KL around 11.30pm and start quering for 2012 ticket... whoa... i was so scare that 12pm ticket was sold off before my turn... next is 2.15pm... and i have to go back as soon as 5pm.
during my turn the time already 11.55pm, there is still 9 seat for 2012... yeah, i picked the middle one...
the movie is about to began and i go buy lemon tea to drink...
the movie starts... haiz... luckily i sit at middle there... this time i have different feeling because nobody with me... i wish that moment was 2012 but i was wrong, i still have many things needed to be done before 2012.
i told my friend to postpone 24hrs but my wish was no granted.. they watch at the same day, but at night... not i dont want to watch movie at night, just this time cant only... sigh~ never mind...
i will no complain that i have no sleeper after i saw ppl that have no foot.
im already feel grateful because i live in kl, have friends & family with me, and can attending relatives' dinner anytime...
my colleges came from other state, not much friends here, cant feel the same thing...

First time ever watch movie alone, feel like lonely+sad. yeah.. after i experienced this kind of feeling, i may applied it to my upcoming artworks. lol...

later, went to see my friends that still working at Quiksilver Pavilion, wah... manager's hair changed style already... bob head... and straight walk to KLCC but some art materials and went back by bus...

at night, family gathering...OMG!...
at begining only 1 car....
then we joined another 2...
then 2 more...
then 1...

phew~ arrived at Klang to eat sea food...

November Issues : The Birth of New GOD

Oh man... long time no draw this monthly poster since August 2009... Now finally can draw again...

Description :

In this poster, you can see Zombies, Ghosts & Monsters... + some Halloween things.
Inspired from some of the main Halloween monster, chinese ghost and my own creation of zombies that combined with evil spray paint. The whole scenery took place at graveyard...

The birth of new God... yeah... a god does not need show itself but its existence...
